Constitution
Preamble
For God and Country we associate ourselves together for the following purposes: To uphold and defend the constitution of the United States of America, to foster and perpetuate American beliefs and values, to recognize in many ways those retired and active duty soldiers and their families that are and have served their country with honor, bravery and dignity. To raise moneys as required to support our military both active and retired.
NATURE OF BUSINESS
This is a non-profit association set up to support the retired and active duty soldiers with in our area of operation as dictated by the by-laws.
Article I Name
The name of this organization shall be the U.S. Army Swamp Rangers Association
Article II Objectives
The objectives and purposes of this association shall be to promote the principals and policies of the forgoing preamble and to promote brotherhood among all soldiers.
Article III Lineage
Section 1. The association is a civilian organization with lineage and honors coming from all soldiers past and present that have served honorably, Airborne Soldiers, Special Operation Soldiers, Soldiers of the 6th Army Ranger Training Battalion and those civilians that have a strong support for our military.
Section 2. Rank does not exist in the organization, unless between active duty military members.
Article IV Membership
Members of this organization shall be any honorable person that supports our military.
Article V Officers
Section 1. The President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer shall govern the administrative affairs of this association.
Section 2. All officers shall be elected from within the association every three years and they shall hold office until their successor is duly installed. Special circumstances will be considered.
Section 3. The officers will dutifully represent the association and its members as provided in the by-laws.
Article VI Misconduct
Any member can loose their membership in this association for misconduct. Misconduct is defined as any action that is considered detrimental to the values and honor of this association. A vote of two thirds of he members present at a called meeting will pass a vote.
