Welcome to the Family Readiness Group (FRG)
page for the 6th Ranger Training Battalion (RTB). 

On behalf of the 6th Ranger Training Battalion Command, FRG leaders and 6th Ranger Training Battalion family members, we hope this page will provide you with useful information about life while at Eglin Air Force Base and Camp Rudder. 

The purpose of our FRG is to provide support and assistance, referrals, and offer a network for communication among family members and the chain of command. It is an essential link between you, your soldier, the Battalion and your soldier’s assigned Company.  We hope and believe the FRG will enable you to feel more capable and confident in your abilities to care for yourself and your family.  Your membership in the FRG is automatic due to your soldier; however, your participation is voluntary.  I encourage all of you to consider participating as much as possible.  FRGs provide several benefits for soldiers, families, and the Command Staff.  For the Command staff, the FRG tries to lighten the workload with regards to family readiness.  For family members, the FRG helps in building friendships, keeps morale spirits higher, acts as channel for information distribution, reduces isolation, and provides opportunities to help others.
