Christmas Party

This year has flown by and it is time to have our annual Christmas party. This is our time to say farewell to 2008 and look forward to 2009. A great way to finish the year with friends and fellow Warriors.

Date:             Saturday, 13 December, 2008
Time:             Cocktails 1700 hours – 1800 hours
                     Dinner Buffet 1800 hours until
Location:      Old Warrior Ranch
Directions:  From I-10, take Hwy 85 north for 8 miles.  When the four lanes merge into two lanes, turn right on to Zadie Lane.  Go to the dead end.  Turn left on to Audrey Dr., our ranch is “3229” on the left with a red fence.

Menu:         Pitch In Buffet “Christmas Style” When you let me know you are coming, I will ask you to bring something.
Dress:         For the occasion

Fun Game: We are going to play “DIRTY SANTA”. Every one brings a wrapped Christmas gift. The cost should be no more than $10.00 or bring something from home you no longer want around. (This is a novelty thing) We will draw numbers and when your number is called, you can pick a gift from under the tree or take a gift from someone that has already opened one and that person must pick another present from under the tree. It can be great fun with plenty of laughs. I thought we should give it a try.

“CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE”

Swamp Rangers & 6^th RTB Families,

The Swamp Rangers along with Jim and Suzy Westbrook are hosting a Holiday cruise during the Destin Christmas Boat Parade. This is an annual extravaganza put on by the Harbor Association.  All boats that enter the parade are judged for how they are decorated. There will be large crowds watching from the boardwalk, Destin Bridge and restaurants. This is a big deal, holiday treat around here for Christmas.

Ridding on a parade boat is not open to the public, but something special I have worked out with Jim just for our Ranger/Swamp Ranger Families.The cost is a covered dish that will be shared as part of a potluck buffet. Bring a cooler with drinks and there will be hot drinks available on board.

Boat Name: American Spirit 
Location: Behind AJ’s Restaurant, 116 Harbor Blvd.Destin, Fl. On the south side of Hwy. 98 East.  
Date: Sunday, 14 December   2008
Time: 5:30 pm – 8pm. Boat will leave at 6 pm. Do not be late.
Dress: Dress in layers. It could be cold. Check the weather forecast on parade day for temperatures. There are places to get in side where it is warm.

Cost: A covered dish.It is customary to tip the crew.

Note: The cruise will not go into the Gulf. Bring a camera.Car seats are fine, but no strollers.We are limited to the number of seats available. Reservations must be in to me by 10 December. If you make a reservation and cannot go please call or e-mail me to cancel, because there will be a stand by list.
